Hey guys, John Macov to Run in Vegas. We're talking local sports, business, real estate. You guys like to see some Vegas.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, your hair is so high, it almost doesn't make it on the design. Look at that.
SPEAKER_03:Wow.
SPEAKER_02:There we are again. This is the pod you guys have been waiting for. It is. A special pod.
SPEAKER_03:Called Sports Yeah. So what inspired Sportsier?
SPEAKER_02:Wow. You just got into it. Can I give you guys context? Yeah, yeah. That's so us. So what inspires sports yeah? You. Thank you. You, my friend. So, all right, you guys, I have a funny story for you guys. So, we uh or I started posting sports yay. Literally, if you guys don't follow me on Instagram at George Des79. You guys need to stop asking me how I look young. I was not born in 1979. Those are just my lucky numbers. Yeah, everyone's like, You were born in 1979. Why does that not have some?
SPEAKER_03:I thought it was 79.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, today I might look at because I am my Botox. Oh, yes. Look that up. I can move my forehead again. Um, so sports CA was a derivative that I came up with you. It wasn't a thing really, right?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And um, the reason I did it was because I caught myself watching a whole bunch of sports and going to live games and all these things that you would presume I know sports. And truth be told, I know nothing about sports. I don't know players, I don't know any sport. I can't carry, nor do I try to everybody that knows me personally try to carry a sports conversation because I I I don't know it and I don't think I really care. Right. So I'm like, how do I have fun with this? Because I don't have you know a presence at times on social media, but I'm like, I should, and there's everybody in America loves football, right? So it's like what people bond over, not me. But yeah, sportsier. So then I started doing sports yeah, and whatever bar I was at, I would take a picture or a video of whatever sports was on TV and I did sports yeah. You guys, the funny thing is, is irony is don't believe everything you see on social media, guys. I'm telling you, let me repeat this. It's like everything you see on social media is not true. Now, I'm not trying to say that I am uh a fake or uh pretending to uh you know, I'm not trying to purport. Yeah, I'm not trying to purport that I'm uh uh uh um a sports person. However, it's funny because we had three conversations in a row, and John is like the biggest sports buff, and then I am not, and they're like, oh, we thought it was you that was the sports buff. And I'm like, no, I don't, I don't know, I don't know sports.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, the irony is everybody thinks he's really into sports. So to break this out for you guys, long story short. Oh, um Thank you for showing me how to do that in the flesh in person. Um, yeah, long story short, we're gonna have a fun pod. We're gonna talk about sports, and we're gonna see, we got a little surprise today. Surprise. Are you like the little kid on YouTube? Do you like surprises? That's right. So we're gonna test Mr. George Hernandez what his sports knowledge is. So we're gonna put some uh teams up, and you have to guess where they're from and what the mascot is. Oh, where they're from too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, this is a whole thing.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02:Well, you are going to have to answer questions to me as well.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, we'll be questions here. But we're gonna start off with this. We're like we're not gonna go past that.
SPEAKER_02:Well, but just so they know what the game plan is. No, it's okay. Well go one extra. The game plan. Relax, relax, relax, relax.
SPEAKER_03:Number load next. Yeah. Well, first we're gonna.
SPEAKER_02:You guys, it's interruptions by George for a reason. Cardinals. Cardinals from Red Cardinals. Ah, I don't know. Red Cardinals. The Red Cardinals from I don't know.
SPEAKER_03:Taking place. Oh man. Ah, we were just there. Oh. Tempe, Arizona? Arizona Cardinals. Close enough. Okay. But not Tempe. Uh no, it's that's the whole state. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had a conversation when we were there, but it's okay. The Cardinals, no. Yeah, we did.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:The stadium was there. Yeah, we had a whole conversation about that.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, you guys.
SPEAKER_03:The stadium was not there.
SPEAKER_02:The stadium. Okay, you guys, really quick, okay, because we got time. All right. The stadium. All right, so we just went to Innings festival. Yeah. And he tells me, he's like, oh, I've been there with a buddy and it's really fun time. You guys, what he's showing me is a a mountain, a hill. I don't even know what it was. He's like, it's behind that. You would never know that there's a big stadium. Never did he take me by the stadium. Never did I see the stadium from anywhere.
SPEAKER_03:Right. Well, the conversation was the the Phoenix. It used to be Phoenix Cardinals. Used to play there. Oh, we did have that conversation. So it's not the Phoenix Cardinals anymore, and it's not the Cardinals. What do you uh, since we're all over the place, what do you think about Innings? Uh Innings is a festival that we went to.
SPEAKER_02:I thought really good lineup. I think you and I get very, very spoiled with Napa Bottle Rock.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, same.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I felt like it was just it wasn't um, it wasn't anxiety or anything, like too much people. It was just the layout of the land. There was no hills, so it's like you were just kind of at awkward positions listening to them. They did have a really good sound system. The performers were really good. Um, I probably won't go again. Yeah. I I like Tempe for what it is. I don't mind bar hopping. I love that uh culinary dropout place we're gonna. Call your dropout, check that out if you're in Tempe. Shout out to Eli. Guys, I got three free drinks. Yeah, thanks to my boy Eli. Um champagne.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, what's interesting about it's like that season though, they have spring uh training going on, they have a bunch going on. So if you ever go to Tempi or Phoenix in that area in February, it's actually a very expensive time to go. I thought it was gonna be dead. We thought it was gonna be dead. Right. And it was actually kind of a little bit more expensive. I I don't know if I would do it again. Innings was cool, but Bottle Rock likes beats every festival.
SPEAKER_02:So Yeah. Including EDC, because I don't like young kids. So now I have a question for you. Team number next. Oh, we're doing all the teams, and then I'm gonna have all the questions for you. Yeah, no, we're doing we'll do all the questions. Patriots. From from New England. Yes! You guys got lucky only because Tom Brady's good looking.
SPEAKER_03:You may want to watch this on YouTube, by the way, if you're listening to this on audio, so you can see the logos here.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, okay, yeah. NFL team number next. Okay, alright. I think I would like to ask questions. We talked about the beginning before the fun. This one I do not know at all. Eagles? Eagles from Oh. No, I know, I know. You know what? Okay, Philadelphia?
SPEAKER_01:Yes! Yes!
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so you guys, you guys, you guys know why I know this. Do you have two and a half so much? You wanna know, you wanna know why? I'm not expecting this. Alright, well, let me tell you about the Eagles Philadelphia. If anybody has um read the Silver Linings Playbook. There we go. I did not expect that. The Silver Linings playbook, um, the character in that book, yeah, it which then it was turned into a movie and Robert De Niro played it with Bradley Cooper. Yeah. Um, but anyways, the the the character, um, he has he very much acts like me. I think he's a little all over the place. Yeah, and yeah, and he doesn't take his meds and stuff. So so um he was a big Eagles, Eagles fan from Philadelphia, because that's where the character in that book is from. Yeah. And it resonated with me because he would blame the girl for every time that they lost, and it was actually the other way around. Every time the girl was hanging out with her his son, which they both had mental disorders, right? Um, they would win. So she was actually the good luck charm.
SPEAKER_03:That's a good movie. I'll check it out.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, well, the book. I don't know if the the mummy was good. Yeah, I don't I don't know if the if they relay that or not. Oh, did they? Okay, all right. I don't remember the team number next.
SPEAKER_03:Ooh, what's this one? Broncos. Wow! I am shocked right now. Yeah what is going on? Did you study before the spot?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, uh, and I don't know where the Broncos are from, though. So uh that one I only know because a friend liked it.
SPEAKER_03:I'm trying to think back in the day. Um it's a state that's not too far from here.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, okay. I could guess this.
SPEAKER_03:Or uh it's a city not too far from here.
SPEAKER_02:A city not too far from here?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Wait, so why is the Cardinals a state and then everybody else is a city?
SPEAKER_03:Uh it they it can go either way. It can be state or city. Good question, though.
SPEAKER_02:No. Um yeah, I'm not even gonna print them with the bar. Okay, but can I get a clue?
SPEAKER_03:Uh it's close to here and it's a city. Oh, uh, Red Rock, that big concert amphitheater. Red Rock, that's where same place. Red Rock Amphitheater. Where's that? Uh famous uh amphitheater. That everybody knows.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, well, no, I actually don't. I I've heard about it or I've seen pictures of it.
SPEAKER_03:Uh it's Denver.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I feel like I should have known that. That's okay. Okay, alright. Yeah, I've got to be. Team number next! Oh! Oh, this is easy. San Francisco Niners. I almost said giants. 49ers! Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:49ers. Alright, I'll give it to you.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, you're like, okay. I know that one because I'm from San Francisco, guys.
SPEAKER_03:You are from San Francisco. Yeah. Yeah, we heard about it on all the other pods. Alright, team number next.
SPEAKER_02:You know what? I don't know if you guys are catching this uh passive aggressiveness, but it's just uh healthy banter. Okay, alright. Good way to reframe it there. Good way to reframe it. Um was it? Did you see it? I did, and I don't know. That doesn't even look familiar.
SPEAKER_03:Um yeah, we haven't gone there before. Um I don't think I've even seen them on TV. Do they have really bad teams? Just pick like an like what do you think it looks like? Let me see. Let me see the. Can we go back to it or no? There we go. A falcon? Oh my god! I'm shocked, you're crushing this. Um, they're from the south. So pick a city in the south. Oh, I don't know. I don't know the south like that. Charleston? Uh Atlanta. Oh. Atlanta Falcons? Atlanta Falcons, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:We saw a falcon yesterday.
SPEAKER_03:Well, you did.
SPEAKER_02:Or was it a hawk? Yeah, yeah. Oh, we saw a hawk. And then I said a falcon. I think I saw a falcon. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, team number next.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, I don't know that.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_03:Um Texas? Very close. Okay. Oh, the star. Why is the star there? So no, it is in the city. Oh, of Texas? So you're yeah, you're on the right track. I'm glad you picked that up. Okay. Um And their name is very similar to Texas. So it's a big city, and the name and their name is similar to Texas.
SPEAKER_02:Um let me see. Texas. Can I see the logo again? Okay, so Okay, so we've been to Longhorns?
SPEAKER_03:Um, that's Austin. That's that's uh college. This is NL. This one I don't know. Okay, not pretty good. Uh Houston, Texans. Texans? Yeah, Texans. Houston, Texans. Uh that one I didn't know. No, that was pretty good. Okay, I've been to Houston. I didn't realize I was Texans.
SPEAKER_02:I mean, yeah, because of the little star.
SPEAKER_03:I think you've gotten like half of these, or more than half of these already. Yeah. I guess you've been paying attention to the sports yeah. Team number next! Yeah. Greenway Packers. I think it's done. Alright. Yeah. Got another one. Okay. Number next. We've seen them. Uh probably on TV. Yes. I don't know where they're from. It's a city in the Midwest. I'm bad at geography. Yeah, Midwest is kinda Yeah, we never better Midwest.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. So there's like Omaha, Nebraska where Johnny's from.
SPEAKER_03:No, no, I don't know. I don't think I know a single person from this place. Oh, I don't know. Cincinnati. Oh, yeah, no, I don't know. But if you're from Cincinnati, shout out. Shout out! Go Bengals! I'm impressed. You've you've hit most of these. Alright, uh team number next. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, we had one more! It's time for questions. We had one more. Alright, okay.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I don't know this. Uh Lions. From and it's all blue. I don't like that logo very much. Um can I get a clue?
SPEAKER_03:Uh our former Pilates teacher is from there.
SPEAKER_01:Oh! Katie Richardson? Yep. Uh Detroit. Oh! Katie, you saved me on this one. You're my girl.
SPEAKER_03:Actually, I'm gonna see you tomorrow from robosis. So wow, okay. I'm very impressed. I think you got like nine out of eleven or eight. Wow. Am I a sports person? Maybe you are sports yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Maybe I am sports yeah. Hey, my my alter ego is merging with my real ego. Yeah. Or my real person. It's all coming together.
SPEAKER_03:All right, slowly but surely.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so now I have questions for you.
SPEAKER_03:And we have questions for each other.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, well. I'll let you go first with the first question. Thank you for allowing me to do that. Yes, sir. I feel very um enlightened when you do that. Very uh positive. I'm like, I I like to start with the questions possible. I know you do.
SPEAKER_03:I know you do.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so here is uh uh uh questions that I have. It's why do people take or why are they so hyped up over regular season?
SPEAKER_03:Of the regular season for what? Uh football, football. Football, okay. Um NFL, or actually any any college football too.
SPEAKER_02:Um the gates and and and and I don't want it like in um I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm not sorry. I I want like just your opinion. I I don't need it to be so informative because it's just I'm gonna give you my opinion. I care about it.
SPEAKER_03:That's what the show's about.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um so oh I didn't realize that. That's what this show is about? Yeah. Your opinion? Yeah, I think so. Oh, I took it all.
SPEAKER_03:I was like, Bible facts. Yeah, your my opinion, your opinion. Interruptions with George, perfect. Um, yeah, I think it's because there's not a lot of games in football. So college and NFL, like the games really matter. So that's why that's why football is pretty cool. Is that a diss to other sports? Other games don't matter in other sports because they have so many games. Um I don't know if it's a diss. I don't necessarily like other sports, but to give you like context, okay. NFL 16 games, NBA is like 82. Okay. So like you go to NBA game, you're like, what does this really matter? You know, versus like Okay.
SPEAKER_02:Uh I could see that then. Does that make sense? Yeah, okay. Yeah. Actually, yeah, it does put it into content perspective. Okay. How do you feel about it? Uh do you feel like it matters or not? I do, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03:I think that's why more people well, you'll notice too, like um basketball or NHL, baseball, the average attendance might be like 15,000, 20,000 a game.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:For NFL, it's like 60,000, 80, even though I think that's a good one. All my questions are going through my head right now. Okay. Number next three years.
SPEAKER_02:So, okay, no, wait. Hold on. Okay. This is gonna be a conversation. It's not just gonna be an interrogation. You know, like uh what's that girl on TV carrying?
SPEAKER_03:Well, if you ask her questions, that's their interrogation.
SPEAKER_02:So I just want to understand now that you gave me the context on why those games matter, why do you does everyone say we, we, we, we when you're not part of the team, you're just wearing a fucking jersey. Right. And it's like we, we, we, we, we, and you're so passionate yelling at the TV. Like, they can't hear you, bro. They can't hear you.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Like, what are you doing there? I think people just get invested in their teams. Honestly, like, psychanalysis of it. I think people don't really deal with like really what's going on in their life and they kick it out on sports.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, yeah. Oh, look at uh you little diagnosis of doctor. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03:All right, can I ask you a question? Just run with it. Yeah, go. Um, what's your favorite sport to casually watch? You know what?
SPEAKER_02:This is really funny. Um, since we have time, we'll make a short story long. I'm kidding, guys. Uh, so uh it's football. So football is what it said, soccer. No, I don't like the person that's announcing what do you call it? The Oh, I like the soccer. Oh no, it's so dramatic. I'm dramatic. I love that.
SPEAKER_03:Like, go that's so much fun. I wish football kind of added that. Oh, no.
SPEAKER_02:JUCH! That'd be amazing. Yeah, it's right. It's like us as panics are so passionate about everything, as you know. Um, football, believe it or not, I had a um, I just needed a staycation.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, I see.
SPEAKER_02:Not football. Yeah, foot American football. Oh, okay. Yeah, okay. Yeah, so you Americans get it. You know, everywhere else in the world, football is soccer. A way to take over our word there. Um, so, anyways, uh, so yeah, I was at a staycation and I had it in the background the whole time. And now I think there's a direct correlation. Obviously, this is gonna sound so but it's there's a direct correlation to you. I find it very soothing. I hear in the background, and now I realize, guys, I don't know if you know this, but people who are real sports buffs, like this one, is mad when there's no audio.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And in the beginning, when I didn't understand sports, I wanted music. I want to like, I'm there to like have a beer with my buddy. No, uh, you know, I'm not even talking to my buddy because my buddy's like this in front of the screen, and he's like what what do you call it? The uh my moment of peace. No, yeah, good one. No, like the place, the the strategy we find the game, and you're just like this. Yeah, and I and I don't care about all that. I'm just there to get a little buzz on a Sunday. Well, I think so. So we did so much of that, and then the audio just uh then I have to concentrate.
SPEAKER_03:Well, I think like if you like sports, um the audio kind of gets you into the game. If I don't hear the audio, I'm not really paying attention, so it's like it's almost like it's just kind of in the background.
SPEAKER_02:That's why I wanted music, but now I find it kind of and I put it at the lowest setting, and it's just it is a little serious.
SPEAKER_03:It's just a little yeah. Because even if I'm like around the house doing chores, I I put on random games that I could care less about, and I just have it in the background. So I I understand that. Yeah, it is a little zen. Because you're like part of something, but you're really not. Like, I don't know how to explain that. I've never actually are you one of those people that say we, or do you have a team, or do you not really? Probably when I was younger, I think the older you get, you get very less attached.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah. Because I mean some people Because it really it really doesn't matter. Like, say your team wins the Super Bowl, it like cool. Like it's fun, but it doesn't really change your life. If they're the worst team in the league, it really doesn't change your life. So But you watch less fans with them in it or no? I'm sorry?
SPEAKER_02:Uh do you watch less games with it with them in it or no?
SPEAKER_03:If they're losing a lot, yeah, probably. Not when I was younger, I used to watch all the games. When you get older, you have different priorities, I feel like. Right, right. You know, so it's a fun getaway for like an hour or two, but it's just it's not priority anymore. You're not, I think when you're younger. But hold on. Do you guys have another thought? So I think when you're younger too, you kind of look up to those uh those men in sports because they're like good athletes, they're they're determined, like, but when you get older, you're actually just watching younger guys playing the sport. So it's like it's different. It like shifts. Why does it matter that they're what their career looks like? What do you mean? Yeah, they're like you're younger, they're gonna Well no, I relate more to like Tom Brady because I grew up watching Tom Brady versus like a guy who's like 23 years old. You guys are both just good looking. Yeah, yeah. That's exactly what it is.
SPEAKER_02:It's like looking in a Tom, I used to play uh football.
SPEAKER_03:I used to be in the New England area. I move here, Tom moves here, he's the owner of the Raiders now. I get it. He might be a soccer, you don't even fucking know it. I know, we gotta give him a run in Vegas. Tom, that's your innovation right here, right?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:You won't get taken down, you saw this first. Tom, you won't run with us.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. Run with it, bro. Run with it. I like it. I like that little pitch. Um, so I uh yeah, so when people get drafted.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, you got a lot of questions. I like it. Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so uh okay, so when people get drafted drafted, you guys are so dramatic. And when I say you guys, it's you're speaking right now. Right now it's your platform for everyone who isn't here in the studio that loves sports, okay? Just to give you context. I'm a person that does not care about sports, but I do have questions because I want to be enlightened. Why do you guys behave like it's the presidential election when somebody gets traded or this or that?
SPEAKER_03:And it's like presidential election.
SPEAKER_02:Like, well, why is it so dramatic? Just anything that like football is like, oh, it's like life. Yeah, okay. I think I think it's a good idea.
SPEAKER_03:I think I understand the question. So why is it dramatic? Yeah, because it could be anything, draft game, right? I think it's just lives, yeah. Yeah, it's it's kind of like um uh male drama, like in a sense. I think that's how we kind of connect with each other, and we kind of like even like fantasy football, we troll each other a lot. It gives us an opportunity.
SPEAKER_02:You guys, he's a coach for. Or a team that doesn't exist.
SPEAKER_03:But to give you context, friends that are older or like in the past or like uh clients of mine that I'm in fantasy football leagues, it gives us that opportunity to actually talk to each other and have conversations. And it may start off about like a trade in fantasy football or NFL, but then we actually start about talking about like real life, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, so this is the uh the bridge.
SPEAKER_03:I think it's connection because I don't know if all men know how to like communicate well with each other. They don't. Yeah, yeah. I think I think a lot of men uh struggle with being vulnerable and you know, and yeah, whatever. So it's kind of like man drama a little bit. That's the best way to describe it. Versus watching like a reality TV show or you know, some drama. So that's a I think that uh yeah. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, no, that makes complete sense. Okay. It's like so you guys are unable to articulate about life things, so this is the segue for the conversation. I think for a lot of us, yeah. But sports makes it hashtag nogation. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Okay. All right, you you can you're allowed to ask a question now.
SPEAKER_03:Thank you, sir. Yeah. What's the team you hear about the most even though you don't follow?
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Well, I don't follow any team. So um and what team do I hear about the most? Yeah, no one really. I mean Raiders, maybe because we're here.
SPEAKER_03:Raiders. Okay. Oh, this is a better question. What's the sport you understand the least? All of them equally. Um all of them? I put kerneling. I said, Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01:I'm like, alright, you guys, when I think sports, I've been watching the Olympics. The Olympics.
SPEAKER_03:Screw the Olympics. Like, I've been I all of a sudden I've been getting into kerneling and I don't and I don't understand the port. It's sport. It's been kind of cool to like watch it and like it's a good one.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so when we're talking sports, just so you guys know, all I'm thinking about is baseball, basketball, football.
SPEAKER_03:Okay. I didn't know you had a definition of sports, my apologies.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So now you know. So had he asked better questions, you would have gone in that. This is the question she gave me to give to you. Yeah, oh, hockey. Yeah, so it so so then you just copy them. So if I tell you jump off a bridge, we're gonna jump off the bridge?
SPEAKER_03:On this podcast, yeah, absolutely. All right, good. Jump off the chest. Alright, question number next. What's one athlete you actually know off the top of your head? I know him personally? I've met a couple, but I just don't know your head.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, just somebody off the top of my head? I don't know.
SPEAKER_03:You know, you know one.
SPEAKER_02:Um, I know Austin. Austin Sarr, yeah. Yeah, I know Austin Sarr. Yeah, he's he's yeah, he's an athlete.
SPEAKER_03:Guest of the show, co-host of the show. Shout out Austin. I love that guy. Former humanity rebel.
SPEAKER_02:Wow, that's the universe. Look at that. Yeah. No, he's a very nice kid.
SPEAKER_03:He is very nice. If you gave sports a shot, what should I wet a shot? If I if you if you gave sports a shot, what should you watch first? What should I watch first? Yeah, this is the question.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so make make so make make them your own or be you know in person.
SPEAKER_03:I I did. Didn't make any sense.
SPEAKER_02:I think we're just gonna go back to my questions.
SPEAKER_03:Um I think you kind of already answered it. It's football.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so why do revs get hated on when sometimes the call seems so obvious?
SPEAKER_03:Um, I think everybody's biased with their team and it's a third party. It's like So delusional.
SPEAKER_02:So you see things that aren't really happening even though they're doing the replay.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Sure. I think most people are. Do you think that's a trait people sports people carry on to their normal lives? I think that's an all-people thing. Oh, but what about sports? We're talking about sports right now. Is it safe to assume that sports people like to see things that maybe are replayed on camera, but they're still seeing it differently? Oh, for sure.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, that's it. I think that's the drama of sports. Oh, okay, all right.
SPEAKER_02:Well, that's good to know.
SPEAKER_03:Well, yeah, I don't think I think that's why people watch sports in a lot of ways. Because if it was so cookie-cutter and it was so um like everything was very obvious, I thought I don't think there'd be like drama to it. I don't think people would care as much. I think it is a little bit of the call should have gone that way or not, or it's it's something you talk about with your buddies or at work, whatever it is. So it's the drama of sports. Okay, so why does a highlight get shared over and over like it's the first time? This was actually a really good question. Oh, okay. So the reason why, because I was I was I read that question a couple times, but the reason why there's highlights is because usually it's a call that's made on the field, and you have to slow things down to actually see what occurred. So that is why they do highlights. How do you think it would be different?
SPEAKER_02:Football, American football, yeah, to football, Spanish football, real football, soccer, yeah, that you guys call here. How would it be different in in soccer? You can't replay anything. If they're just what the ref called is what the ref called, how do you think it would be influenced or how would would you guys be emotionally prepared for a referee to not have to go look back at the camera and just make a call?
SPEAKER_03:Do you so you think people are emotionally prepared? Unprepared to watch soccer. Unprepared, yeah, they're emotionally prepared. You just said you didn't watch soccer. You just said you like football more. Um I think it would be the same thing. People still fuck out. Did you see that play? They if we only had replay, that's what the conversation would be. So that's what we do. Okay, okay, okay. All right. Well, yeah, I think it depends on how the call goes. If it doesn't go your way, then you want replay. If it does, then you're like, I wish there was, you know.
SPEAKER_02:Are you one of those people that takes it to heart? I know now you've gotten more lax about everything, but when like your team doesn't lose, it's like you take it like a personal insult insult?
SPEAKER_03:No, I don't. No.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_03:Um, ooh, this is okay, this is kind of fun one. I already know the answer to this one. But have you ever pretended to know a sports fact just to join a conversation?
SPEAKER_02:No.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, I don't think so.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, no. Um, everybody that knows me, or if you meet me out and about, yeah, so I can't so you guys, to the degree, just so you guys know, if you guys don't know me personally, is I I don't know how many minutes it's in things. You still explain to me how many rounds or innings that there is in your quarters, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03:Depending on the sport, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Right. Um so no, I somebody will come and try to make conversation with me at a bar or anywhere. I mean, I I've met a couple football players, and uh you guys, when I say I'm like not, I'm asking like probably the dumbest questions, and they're like, oh, but you guys, but they don't mind it.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, well, that's one thing I actually appreciate about you because yeah, you don't pretend you don't care. Because even like I I kind of pre-pay, I know we said it was a surprise, the sports and you picking the teams. I was like, are you cool? And I already knew the answer because you you don't pretend like you know sports or not. No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02:Everybody that knows me, yeah, I'm not.
SPEAKER_03:So you have fun with it, but yeah, you're very like nonchalant. Like, and I think that's the kind of like the athletes that like Austin Star, right? I think that's actually endearing to them because you're not you're not trying to pretend you're somebody you're not.
SPEAKER_02:So right, it's been a couple people, and they're the sweetest people, too. It's like that I think they understand, and I don't maybe they don't even meet a lot of people like me. Yeah, you know, so I it could be anybody. I've never really like starstruck, but I'm like, oh, what does it do? And then they're telling me, you know, they're whatever quarterback or whatever the positions are, right? I'm like, I'm not sure what that means. No, so then they but dude, they are very articulate, they take the time to explain it, and I'm like, oh, okay, cool. Yeah, but after a couple questions, they know I'm totally idol.
SPEAKER_03:No, you're not with like everybody, if it's in real estate or celebrity, it doesn't affect you. You treat everybody's saying which I appreciate about you. Yeah. So that's it, we're gonna wrap up. Oh my goodness, that was a good that was a good pod. That was a good pod. Yeah, yeah. All right. All right. All right, guys. Take care. Take care.
