Welcome And Quick Catch Up

SPEAKER_00

Hey guys, John Macmillan is right in Vegas. We're talking local sports business real estate. You guys even if you like and subscribe. Come on, George Hernandez in the house.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And we got a special episode today.

SPEAKER_01

What are we talking about? We're talking about everything. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. I'm like, it's been a while since it's just been you and I.

SPEAKER_00

I know we were talking about the other day. We haven't had a pod just you and I, and we've had some requests to have just a you and I pod by a couple people. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And they're like, why aren't you guys still in the pod with you guys? We love it. We love the energy. So hey, we listen to the people we got some news for you guys.

SPEAKER_01

We got some news for you guys. Yes, you're right. Some people they're like, oh, we like your synchronicity. Sorry, Bill. Yeah, we got some tough news for you. We have some tough news. You know, uh, so I feel like a local celebrity. And I feel like I've I've hit my my limit with just being recognized when I'm out and about. You know what I mean? I don't like my privacy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's like just stop saying hi to everybody. Yeah, like my dad says, yeah. It's uh, you know, yesterday we were at Abel Baker. Have you guys checked out Abel Baker and Centennial? It's sick, it's huge. Really cool, it's huge. We saw a bartender that we knew from a long time ago there. Yeah, we need a manager, and then yeah, met another realtor that was really cool to as she was there with her son. And funny story about that, you know, I'm just really friendly with everybody, and I don't know, the son thought I was hitting on her, and she's like, Yeah, he's she's married to my dad. I'm like, oh, all right. But, anyways, uh yeah, we have some exciting news. Should we start with that? Sure, I was gonna leave it to the end, but yeah. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Let's start with it though. I like it. I think so because I want to hear everybody's feedback. Yeah, let's get your guys' feedback.

Big Show Change To Sports Focus

SPEAKER_01

So I yeah, so running Vegas was originally can I tell them the story? Because it's so running Vegas came about because John wanted something that was outside of real estate, something that pushed you to then correct me where I'm wrong or add to it, where you it was a new challenge, right? And then, but you love sports. So, contrary to popular belief, I know you guys see my sports CA, and we've gotten this repeatedly thinking that I'm the sports guy. You guys, I don't watch sports, I don't know what's going on. I'm there and I do sports CA because I'm there with John. I don't tag him all the time, though. But John is uh John wants to do more sports segments because that's what you're inspired by. That is like what gets you going, and that's your you know, that's I think the only really hobby you have.

SPEAKER_00

That real estate, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So we are so we are, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So it kind of came about because originally, and you guys probably heard this story before, but we uh uh got the start because Trish Williams being on her pod. Yeah, and we kind of just emulated it. And the idea of the first two years are really just to understand how to do a pod, do it effectively, you know, be good at it, have good energy on this pod. So we kind of mirrored what she was doing, which is great. Check out Trish Williams, love her pod, been on it a bunch of times. Yeah, and the more we've done this with the interviews, and the interview's great, we've had some incredible people on here, and we're still gonna have interviews, but it's gonna be more sports-based. What I realized like this started to turn into a little bit more work after two and a half years. Oh, tell me more. Well, it's like what do you mean just having good energy, being the host and asking a lot of questions of somebody you don't know? Yeah, that is like you got to be really focused, which is good.

SPEAKER_01

I think actually I'll challenge that belief. I'm not very focused. My ADD is going crazy. Yeah, when I do we noticed, right, guys?

SPEAKER_00

Uh not today, but you're a good you're actually a good host, so you're you are right. Um, you asked a lot of good questions, um, but I think that's just your nature, right? Yeah, but what I realized though is when we were doing the sports pods, it didn't feel like any work. I was enjoying it, having fun. Um had some guests. Looking forward to it. We noticed views were a little bit higher on the sports one too. Um, so yeah, it's kind of coming together. We're excited about it. We haven't totally we don't have like totally we're just it's gonna start, I think, in September. Um, but we haven't figured out what the segments are exactly look like, but it's gonna be unity basketball, unview football. Definitely that will be in there. Uh, maybe Raiders, but we're gonna have like a platform. We're still gonna interview people, but it's gonna be, you know, um, coaches and players, and it's it's gonna be a different dynamic, maybe some game day live episodes, I don't know, but we're thinking big right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We are.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna have a lot in the works. So, what gets me excited is that I no longer have to be a host. Sorry, Bill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, Bill. I know we just had this conversation. I'm like, however, I uh so just so you guys know, when I went to college in visual media, Mr. Davis, this is a shout out for you, he's an awesome teacher. Uh, he made me act and he made me be in front of the camera because he was tired of me being behind the camera. And even when I did it then, I didn't like it. I never wanted to do it, I didn't want to show up. I like wanted to be like I was sick, but yeah, now I get to help on that end. I'm like, and I like it, and I feel like it's not that this is stressful, I've really enjoyed my time and the opportunity, and I've learned so much, but um I'm really happy to say that after a month, I'm not gonna have to host anymore. Yeah, yeah, secretly. I as much as I love you. We do everything together though.

SPEAKER_00

So I think we might have some like special episodes in the future at some point where you come back on and maybe it's not sports, you know. Maybe we get like a like a string or adjust it, and oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I'm still uh yeah, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not saying I'll never do it again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah, yeah. So I don't I'm I don't think this is the last time you see you guys are seeing it, but I get it. It's not easy to do.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think people realize how much work it takes.

SPEAKER_01

It is taxing. Yeah, it is a whole other job, I feel like.

SPEAKER_00

And for me, I'm like, yeah. It takes a good three or four hours for a pod because you gotta find them, you gotta create questions, you gotta drive here, drive back. Like it it's time consuming.

SPEAKER_01

But the sports part is gonna be fun because you guys, I know nothing about it, so I think I'm gonna be able to like that's gonna be my growth moment. I'm like, okay, just researching little things or questions, and maybe I'll be a little more informed. Well, maybe I end up being a sports person.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe after all, not we we got actually because we only do one sports pod maybe once a month, sometimes it's every other month, with our boy Ryan. Yeah, our boy Ryan.

SPEAKER_01

And and um Ryan, shout out to you because Austin Star too. Austin Star too, because when you are on, I don't have to be on. So I'm like, yeah, we have fun right now. I'm glad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We appreciate that, K.

SPEAKER_00

But I'll say this running Vegas has gotten a lot of shout-outs from folks that specialize in sports locally. We've had multiple people shout us out, have this on the pod. So um, I think that's part of the inspiration.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's a sign too from the universe.

SPEAKER_00

I think so too. And I want to say this I think you're downplaying your hosting, Billy. I'm proud of you. You got out of your shell a little bit. Oh, for sure. I think you got actually, I don't I don't know if I call Jorge having a shell.

SPEAKER_01

But um Right, it sounds weird, but this was not yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You're uncomfortable. Yes. And it's I've seen a lot of growths with you being a co-host. Yeah, yeah, I think you're a little too tough on yourself because I enjoy your pod.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you know what? If I'm not gonna be on the pod, I think I'll be able to watch at least a pod and be able to watch myself. So just funny story, or I I have never watched any of my pods because I'm that self-critical. Yeah, yeah. So I'm like, yeah, yeah. So I'm like, nope, I'm not doing it. I'm like, whatever it is.

SPEAKER_00

Talk about maybe having your own pod someday. Is that on the horizons at all? Or you know, I recognize it.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no. So we're we we were we yeah, we were joking about it, but I'm like, hey, I'm very unconventional. If I did, it would be the should have been canceled show.

SPEAKER_00

I think that would be neat. Yeah, I think that would work.

SPEAKER_01

So maybe. So if you guys see that title come up now that I've said it out loud, uh know that you heard it here first. And it was my idea.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. I like it. Yeah, yeah. So all right, so we I get yeah, the big news, right in the beginning.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I like it. We I don't have an exact day, but it'll be Well, it ha we're transitioning this month because September is big. That's like the New Year's because of the Super Bowl. Yeah, and Z would be.

SPEAKER_00

And we probably should have told Rick before we broke news on that. I I kind of told him before. Yeah, yeah. Cool, all right. Well, I told them we're not doing a podcast no more.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're still yeah, we love it here. Um, but yeah, we're excited for that. So we'll give you guys more details. Yeah, we're starting with the biggest. So I mean, what do you want to do after the last couple months?

Japan Travel Highlights And Tips

SPEAKER_00

I you kind of had a big trip to Japan. I did. Oh that was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Uh you're right. Well, we went to bottle rock first. Yes, no, no, no. After Japan? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

No, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. What?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. You guys, uh so I wonder, my allergies have killed me today, so I'm sorry. But um, so I wonder why I don't have any money. Dad, if you're watching this, because he's like send money. You guys, I'll leave my um uh gofund me. Venmo. No, no, no, go fund me. No, it's not that bad. Uh my Zell or my Venmo, if you guys want to, you know, send me money, let me know. Uh no, I wonder at times, you know, my financial situations, and it's kind of funny. And then I'm like, you guys, I was in Mexico in March for almost a month. That was my dad's birthday, and it was beautiful, it was just an awesome time. Yeah, then it was April, May. May I was in Japan for almost a month, it seems like. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like 17, 18 days, whatever.

SPEAKER_00

It's been good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I love traveling. I live to travel. That's the only reason I want to make money. That and to live in a little like farmhouse away from everybody. Like, that's all I aspire to, or live in a condo and never have to leave. Um, Japan was cool. Japan, I love their culture, I love the people, I love the food, obviously. I loved everything about it. It's I um there's not a lot of places I go to where I'm like within the day, I'm like, I could live here. And that is one of those places where I could.

SPEAKER_00

How would you rate it of places that you've been because you've traveled a lot your whole life? Yeah. How would you rate Japan like from like you say you want to live there, but like top place you've ever seen, top three, what? Like, give us context there.

SPEAKER_01

Uh just okay, so it's different. So it's different because what's standing out right now is Croatia. I love Croatia just because it's so beautiful and the beaches, and it's almost like you're in um uh what's the the lifetime movie? No, the Hallmark movies or whatever. It's like it's just so fake, it's like you're like off the travel channel. Um I couldn't live there though because it's just not a lot going on. Um, but Japan is up there. Japan is up there. I like Mexico a lot for different reasons. It's just I feel like I am one with my culture, you know what I mean? 100% over there. Yeah, you know, me being 100% Mexican, I'm like, I like to. You guys, that's a running joke for for so I was born in San Francisco, so it's like I'm reminded. So I'm reminded all the time that I that I'm not, and you know, my mom's actually not Mexican, so there we are. Um yeah, but um, yeah, you guys, and the only reason I bring it up is because some people didn't even know I spoke Spanish or that I was, yeah. Yeah, maybe not at a college level, but we may have had a couple pods, check those out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. All Spanish.

SPEAKER_01

So it's um so Mexico has my heart for different reasons, and I do love the beach, I love the culture. It's just party non-stop. We've been in Mexico and we always have a great time. Um, Japan was just very orderly. It is what I think other countries should emulate their standards to, and you know, you go there and come back and you realize we're doing a lot of things wrong. Um, and not to turn it into a negative podcast, but it but it the amount of respect is where it should be. I mean, it it is, I think it's throw shade Thursday, so it's like, hey, it sounds like I'm throwing shade right now, but people that haven't traveled a lot and haven't seen what other people's normal is can't don't have anything to relate it to, and you know, at times we are just out of touch. And there it's like I'll give you an example, I'll give you context. So it's like there's you know, the the walk sign for the pedestrians people don't go, they just respect it because that's what it is. Uh to cross the street, people are formal line, like it is just so respectful, it and it's just bumping into you. There's no huffing and puffing, and you know, it's just hey, sorry, and it's just and just so appreciative, they come from gratitude, and on top of that, it's just beautiful. It is absolutely beautiful. I'm like, it is just I literally could move there now. I'm like, yeah, even though it's so far away. I'm like, I felt at home, I felt safe everywhere I went.

SPEAKER_00

Uh how many uh cities and towns did you go to?

SPEAKER_01

So we went to Osaka, Tokyo, Okinawa, Kyoto, and it when you're in Tokyo, we stayed at one of like the best hotels, and I don't remember the name of the hotel. However, it has one of the oldest botanical gardens there. It's beautiful. If you're on Instagram, you saw it. It's like we gotta go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but yeah, you can't. Check out is yeah, it's on your Instagram.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I'm so bad with names, guys, but um it was it looked beautiful. Yeah, it it's there was 11. Uh, there's like 12, I think they say 12 or 15 neighborhoods, and most people only see three. We I saw 11. Like, I'm very efficient when I was there. My friend that I went with, you know, he uh was dying because I made him walk like 25,000 steps one of the days. That's a lot. I like to walk, so I'm like, yeah, yeah. So yeah, no, it was fun. It was that's what I've been doing. But what have you been up to?

SPEAKER_00

Before we get away from that, um, what have you been up to? What historical did you go to any historical sites?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. I'm so bad with names. So I went to a whole bunch of temples. Yeah, you guys yes, so I went to a whole bunch of temples. It's just I wish I remembered names. Uh, a whole bunch of temples, a whole bunch of uh botanical gardens. Um oh, you know what was cool? Actually, what's standing out right now? Hachi. Have you guys seen the the movie Hachi? No, so it's uh uh American adaptation, and it is this dog that is faithful, they call it Hachi the Faithful Dog. And uh the faithful dog in the in uh the movie here was adapted, but it's actually from Japan, and they have a statue of him, and it's this dog that would go wait for his owner at the train station every day, and even after the owner died, he went like 10-15 years.

SPEAKER_00

I've seen the movie, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's very good.

SPEAKER_01

So it was uh so that was really cool, and I sent it to my parents because it's something that I saw as a as a family. Um, I love the Hirojuku town, there's just all of it. Um I I loved everything about it, dude. Um like now I'm getting excited. I'm like, yeah, I want to go back. Do you see any samurai? I did not see any samurai samurai. I did see um some like true geishas. They do like tea, the the tea ceremonial.

SPEAKER_00

Do they have like any memorial sites for like World War II or any of that? I don't know if you check that out. Damn, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? I I feel like, yeah, that's a mark question. Okay, yeah, I know. I'm I I wish I I mean, I go to like I said, I went to like one of the best hotels and I don't know what it's called. Yeah, so yeah. Okay, no worries.

SPEAKER_00

Um, okay, so question for you here. Sorry. Um that travel seems a little insane. Yeah. Do you have tips? Because how long were we on the plane for? Like 22 hours? So the travel they was taking.

SPEAKER_01

It was something crazy. We stopped somewhere. Now I don't even remember where we stopped.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I think it was LA and then Tokyo, and then you flown to another. Yes, so it took you about 22 hours.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Um, so do like a three-day bender, and then you're just and you're just tired, so then you're gonna have to pass out. And it's like bad advice. Um, yeah. Well, you guys know that's not true. I did, I think I did I filmed this, we hung out, and then we did you took us to the airport. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Um, you know, so I wish I could say yes, I did sleep on the way there, not on the way back. Um, I'm not a movie, I so no, the answer is no. I I don't do edibles, so a lot of people like say that that way you relax. I don't watch movies because I can't sit there. I was very anxious on the way coming back because I didn't sleep a lot. Um, I had gotten enough sleep, but I didn't sleep on the plane, and usually I'm out, like you know, we hop on a plane, I'm out before anyone departs. Um, but uh no, not really. I mean, take snacks, comfy clothes, uh, get good seats. Yeah, good advice.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, if you were to do Japan all over again, what advice would you give to yourself or other people that are gonna do Japan?

SPEAKER_01

Um you know what? It's not I would like to say like a lot of places you go, just a culture shock. Um, just be open to the food. Oh, because the street food is bombed. They have like okay, yeah, they have like squid on a skewer, it's like just grilled shrimp, all of that. I got a couple tattoos. I'm like, I just felt inspired. Yeah, I got this, yeah. Check it on the insta. I got my my lucky cat. Um, met one of the coolest tattoo artists, and uh yeah, I think that's it. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

That's a full that's a full trip.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh I got actually, no, how many? I got three tattoos while I was there. Jesus. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, next time you go, sleep when he comes back. No biggie. Okay, cool, cool. So you came back, and after that, we went to Bottle

BottleRock Recap And Text Prank

SPEAKER_00

Rock. Yeah, yeah. My time frame was I I know this whole year, and I'm like, yeah. Um, so what do you think of Bottle Rock?

SPEAKER_01

I had a great time, but I had a blast. So AJR, uh you and I started when we started being friends, we went and saw AJR in San Francisco, so that was really cool.

SPEAKER_00

Um played a really one of the best jokes ever on one of your cousins to this day.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you gotta tell it.

SPEAKER_00

You gotta tell it. Uh okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we got time. Okay. So you guys, that so to give you guys context to anybody that doesn't know, John and I are jokesters, and I know that people don't know that side of John, but but he likes to get people going. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Like and I don't get away a lot because I'm very uh dry and sarcastic, but I'm joking 99% of the time.

SPEAKER_01

Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, people just think you're an asshole.

SPEAKER_01

They're like, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, you have to tell that, right? Yeah, you get away with everything. Yeah, but this is good. Uh yeah, so we go to the concert, and for some reason, I guess we had all lost each other at some point with your cousin. And not on this trip, on the prior one. Prior one, thank you for clarifying. And the one thing that she said she dropped us off there at the concert. At the concert, is do not leave each other. I don't want you guys losing each other. It was a hassle.

SPEAKER_01

So after the concert, it was like hurting cats, it's like you guys, she is like 10 years younger, 15 years younger than we are. But she's more responsible and she's more mature. Yes, all of above. She's literally like our mom. Karina, shout out, shout out, girl.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so we played a little joke. We ended up just texting each other the whole time that we lost each other. Uh, we had a pretend fight through text and the three-week group chat. And once we met up with her about two hours later, she was very upset.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So we had met some people, we're like, hey, come to this bar. Um she had a little smirk, though. She did have a little smirk, but we introduced him to the two people that were sitting with us. She didn't even say hi, and that's not like her. She was just pissed. Had they not been there, I think she would have attacked us. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think she was a little bit more mad at you, and then she found out it was actually me that started it. Yeah. Yeah. And the the madness went to me.

SPEAKER_01

But right, yeah, it just shifted.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I just repped it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, what was your favorite part of bottle rock? I'm like, because this is the first year that we haven't been all three days. It was just once.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you should be like two, maybe three.

SPEAKER_01

You guys' tickets were insane.

SPEAKER_00

They can't, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So this is the one festival, this is what we learned. This is the one festival where prices are not gonna go down. If anything, they're gonna triple.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, advice if you do bottle rock, buy them now. Um, because yeah, we thought the closer it gets, like most things, right? Most of the time, unless it's like the Super Bowl or like some big event, the Stanley Cup, most of the time tickets come down the closer you get to an event. They literally went from like $300 a day to like $1,500 a day. Yeah, it just kept going up every single day.

SPEAKER_01

Shout out to my dad. Hooked us up, which we appreciate you being rich. Miguel. Thank you for getting us tickets, John and I. We waited, we hesitated, we know we'll never do that again. Yes, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Order our tickets now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, you know what?

SPEAKER_01

After that, I feel like I'm gonna get a hat that says put it on my dad's tab.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sure I'll love that. You guys, there's funny. You should get that, and don't tell. And just next time. Put it out of my dad's when you go back. Oh, dude.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna do it. You guys, there's um, I'm not sure if my dad's always just constantly worried about me or what goes on, but yeah, yeah, I think that's why they love you so much. They're like, oh, we've passed on the the the struggle. Um, so you guys, we were in Mexico City, it's happened multiple places. Mexico City, yeah, on the cruise, somewhere else, multiple trips, you guys, and I'm like, I at times don't think things through, so I'm like, have you seen my dad? And that's just the first thing. It's all nice to know where his dad is, you guys. It's been multiple places. They're like, yes, and they don't even know, they don't see us walking in together, they don't know that we're part of the same cabin. In Mexico City, I uh you know what he was like, Oh, my son, and they're like, Oh, yeah, there they are. Like, somehow they're a similar stature to you guys, so I could see that, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's the funniest thing, but yeah. Uh Bottle Rock, my favorite parts were Bush was amazing, they were so cool to see live. Oh, Bush was cool. Yeah, I think that was like the first band where I was like, oh, okay, like kind of the energy got going. Um Joan Jett. Joan Jet. She's uh she's a rock star. So who was the person we saw the year before? Oh, on her last leg? Um we saw another gal that just wasn't so Joan Jett. I'm like, this is probably gonna be like that. Joan Jett crushed it. You guys can go see Joan Jett. Um she has so many hits, you don't even realize. I think she had like 10 hits, they're all movies now. You would know every single song. Because I'm like, yeah, I know a couple of Joan Jett songs. I knew every single one.

SPEAKER_01

She brings the energy, she's still a rock star, she has a guitar.

SPEAKER_00

It's gotta be like in our 70s, and her voice sounded like she was back in the day. So uh I became a bigger Joan Jett fan. Um shout out to her, she was awesome. Who there was another band we liked?

SPEAKER_01

Uh AJR, Zed sucked.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but I feel like we could like see that, and like that's like a Vegas.

SPEAKER_01

Guys, I thought that there was nothing exciting, it was just like he was playing Spotify to me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like we said before and he's been good. I think it's just like we can do that in Vegas any weekend. Odessa was good though. Odessa was good. Yeah, yeah. Zed was just one of the same band, right? Um I thought there was one more band we saw, though. Who's the headliner? Guys, we had a great time. Factory boys? No, that was one of them. We didn't go see that one. Uh Lord, we didn't see.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

It's okay. Yeah, yeah. Wow. Well, we liked it mostly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was fun. It was a good time. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's our tradition going strong.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, hey, what do you

San Francisco Vibes And Giants Game

SPEAKER_00

think about San Francisco now? We went to a Giants game, we did the Oh, we did do the Giants game. Giants game was so much fun. By the way, Giants game. Another thing, you would think on a Sunday, like tickets would be cheap for Giants. They weren't cheap either. I'm like, what is going on?

SPEAKER_01

The Bay Area is crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I go to the Giants all the time, unless they're good. Like, you can get cheap tickets. Yeah, Giants are legit.

SPEAKER_01

But you know what? Even if people aren't fans, that stadium, you can't beat that fucking stadium.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's a nice one. Well, I like Peko a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's not there though. I I still like San Francisco better. The location, the view, the it's just, yeah. Petco, I felt like it was a little ghetto walking in, like that street.

SPEAKER_00

The downtown area's gotten a little bad. San Francisco, there's parts.

SPEAKER_01

Not that part to get there. No, no, no. We find out a market. Yeah, yeah. And you don't even go there. We took a ferry. Oh, we took the ferry for the first time. That was sick. Yeah, that was cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that was cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. What else has happened? I'm not sure. Now I'm like, oh, my whole life has been a vacation.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Well, works the second half of the year. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh you guys, when I say I'm like, have you guys seen those like Instagram reels where it's like, oh, I'm manifesting, I'm man, and I'm big on manifesting? You're the manifestation.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, shout out to

Real Estate Reality Check And Coaching

SPEAKER_00

us. So there was a stat. 84% of real estate agents didn't do a deal so far this year.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that is very true.

SPEAKER_00

And we put seven under contract in the past 30 days. So I'm proud of that.

SPEAKER_01

We've closed about 15 uh properties.

SPEAKER_00

18 close and pending. We're putting another one under contract today.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no. Yeah, it puts things into perspective. So and that this is not to humble brag, but if you're a realtor and this market is tough, we're not gonna lie, it's just you know, favors buyers more. Um, that's the stat. That doesn't mean you know, just all it means is double what you're doing or triple what you're doing. Yeah, yeah, it was good because we just coach Coach Mac have to say about that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and I'll what have you been doing? I'll give kudos to Darren because we did his broker meeting like the other day, and he was talking about because he recruits everybody who does about six to twenty deals, he considers those producing agents, and he said every single one their their production was down. So yeah, it puts yeah. So if you're out there and shrugging real estate, you're not the only one. I you know, sometimes there's hope because I've been doing this for anyone years, and we're we're having a very good year, but there was times like, did I lose it? Like, you know, like what happened? I'm used to selling 40, 60 homes a year, right? So it's good to get perspective out there. And if you're a newer agent, uh DM us, Texas calls. We're here to help, we're here to coach, we're building our team. If you're just an experienced agent, let us know too we hook you up with Darren if you want to learn luxury, yeah, and follow.

SPEAKER_01

We're thinking of growing our our team again.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, we're excited.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're excited for that here very, very soon. It's gonna be different, yeah, different things. And yeah, for you real estate agents, there's there's definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

SPEAKER_00

Just keep going.

SPEAKER_01

And the light is in a oncoming train, don't worry.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think all things are gonna work out. The thing is, like, if you're in it, just keep going. Because the longer this goes, it's actually better for us as real the ones that stay in it, because uh agents are gonna continue to leave our industry, so um, there will be more business. Kind of it kind of reminds me, it's not the same, but like pandemic when that all occurred, people were there wasn't a ton of agents in the business, and then the people who were in it when that exploded, but people leave this one, and whenever the market comes back, there's gonna be more so much more business for us, it's gonna be incredible, but you just gotta get to the other side of that. That makes sense.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you guys, if you don't win, you learn.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. That too, yeah. Like that. So we got two minutes left.

SPEAKER_01

Uh so tell me more about you. Tell me more about

Dream Sports Guests And Live Pods

SPEAKER_01

you. Okay, so I want to manifest. We started with the future. So, who is a couple guests that you want to have on the running Vegas sports podcast? Let's put it into manifestation. I I might cut this real and send it to them directly. Like, hey, who who's uh three, top three, top three people you want? Um, I guess it could be any sport.

SPEAKER_00

Uh Dan Mullen, Unilev football coach, Josh Pastner, Unilev basketball coach.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. They're they're all coaches.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're coaches. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I don't I don't know who they are, but Jaden Thomas, Unilev running back.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

There you go. You got your work cut out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, those names don't ring a bell, but okay. I'll figure that out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Yeah, we're thinking big. We're gonna have some good guests. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Either they can come here or we'll go to you. Well, I don't I want it live too.

SPEAKER_01

Because one thing I notice about a lot, and no, we were not gonna start, we're going to you. You know what? Let's start here and then that's we'll figure that out. You know what, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But what I've noticed about a lot, and there's a lot of great local shows here, they're all Zoom, and I appreciate that, but there's something about being live absolutely that makes a difference. So that is what's gonna be different about running Vegas. I want the interviews to be live, so we'll figure that out. We gotta we got logistics to figure out here a little bit, but we'll we'll make it happen. So we're excited. Yeah, we are all right, this is nice. So you're you're still we got we got a great guest next week. We got Jay on. So we're this is not your last pod.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not. No, no, no. So we but I I did want to be, you know, I I like to be the center of attention, so I'm like, let me let me break the news. I know, you know what I mean? You never, never, yeah, yeah. Just in case you try to back out and then keep me as a co-host, then I'm like, nope, we already told it.

SPEAKER_00

All right, guys, we're gonna wrap it up. Uh we appreciate you guys. Have a great day. Take care of yourselves.
